After working with web portal developer Vistalogix Corporation for six months to revamp not only the look of their public website, but also its purpose, the Volusia Council on Aging has finally unveiled it's new site. The agency, serving seniors in the Daytona/Volusia area since 1967, had several important business objectives, for which the new web portal is a crucial key to success:
- Establish themselves as the "go-to" resource for anything seniors may need in the Volusia area.
- Make it easier for seniors and their caregivers to obtain services, such as home-delivered meals, housekeeping, in-home medical care, and handyman services.
- Improve agency funding through sponsorships and community partnerships.
- Increase service capacity by recruiting more volunteers and personnel.
Immediately after deploying the portal, COA was able to see significant results. Not only are they now able to view reports on the hundreds of visitors coming to their website, but they are able to implement calls to action and capture leads from their website that were previously passing them by.
Not only has the new website generated revenue for them right out of the box, it has provided them with a new, more polished image and capabilities to better position themselves with funders and community partners.
